TCI's Big South Regatta 2024

One of the major highlights of the year in Turks and Caicos, The Big South Regatta, is on from 23-26 May 2024 under the theme ‘Sailing the HB Way’.

This special event on South Caicos (aka as the ‘Big South’) includes top-class entertainment, beauty pageants, Junkanoo, DJs, and live music.

This year the regatta will also debut a children’s talent show on Friday 24 May called ‘Regatta’s Got Talent’ for students aged six-17 to demonstrate their skills and abilities for cash and prizes!

Visit the official Big South Regatta website for more information.

Background:

The annual South Caicos Regatta is one of the Turks and Caicos Islands’ oldest festivals. It was first held on 25 February 1966 in honour of a royal visit by Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Phillip.

The event was subsequently moved to 24 May to coincide with a public holiday. It has been held every year in May since 1967.

The Regatta Committee welcomes donations, sponsorships, and partnerships to fund the event. For more information on how you can help, please email [email protected] or call +1 (649) 345-2000 or +1 (649) 232 8193.
