Children Will Love These ‘Egg-citing’ Easter Camps Taking Place in Barbados

Easter is here again and there are several camps on the island offering children a wide range of interesting and fulfilling activities to stop them from getting bored during the break.

Next Step’s Family Centre is inviting children aged 10-16 to enjoy its Easter camp from 8-19 April. The camp’s creators say the programme is focused on “building self-confidence, nurturing growth mindsets, creativity, self-expression, positive attitudes, and inspiring young creators”. Cherry Tree Kids is hosting its regular Easter reading camp from 8-19 April for children aged four to 10. Attendees will be invited to “play, read, and succeed” through “language rich games and activities guided by the science of reading.” The cost is $290 (BBD) for the full camp or $150 (BBD) for the week. Sprouts Kids Club is hosting two Easter camps for children aged four to 10 and two to five. The first camp for older children runs from 2-5 April and costs $200 (BBD) for the week. The second camp for younger ones is on from 8-12 April and costs $250 (BBD). Spaces are limited! You can register by email – [email protected].
Coverley in Christ Church is the place to be for the Bimsmart246 Easter Camp. Taking place from 8-19 April, this camp is for children aged four to 10. The organisers say the camp will be “led by a seasoned early childhood educator with 17 years of experience” and feature a programme “filled with purposeful play-based learning activities.” The fee is $20 a day or $100 per week, plus a $45 registration fee. Island of Adventure will hold its Easter camp from 8-19 April at the Church of the Nazarene on Halls Road. The cost is $20 (BBD) for the day or $70 (BBD) for the week. Kids will enjoy outdoor games, arts and crafts, themed days, tours, and an Easter egg hunt. Contact 824 1036 to find out more.
In the north of the island, 3D’s Kids Club Academy is holding an Easter Camp for children aged 5-11 from 8-19 April. The camp will be held at the Salvation Army Lighthouse Centre, Speightstown, St Peter. The fee for the full camp is $170 (BBD) plus a $25 (BBD) registration fee.
