Overview
The La Milpa Eco-lodge and Research Center lies nestled deep in the forest of northwestern Belize. This Eco-lodge is located only three miles from the third largest archeological site in Belize. Located on the banks of the New River Lagoon, the Hill Bank Field Station serves as a research base for sustainable forest management and specialized tourism which incorporated research and activities into the visitor’s forest experience.
For accommodations, guest can choose between charmingly designed and private thatched-roof cabanas, and comfortable and tastefully decorated dormitories featuring state-of-the-art ‘green’ technology. Hiking nature trails, jungle trekking and birding are the order of the day. Spend a day in nearby Mestizo, Mennonite and Creole villages for a taste to Belizean culture.
